In order to encourage greater use of sustainable transport (e.g. public transport, carpooling, walking and cycling), Port Phillip City Council, Victoria changed car parking provision rates. Ratio Consultants and Port Phillip City Council received a commendation award for this project in the 2007 Planning Institute Australia Victoria awards for Planning Excellence.
