Adding Content

Registered members of Your Development have the ability to add content to the web site.  The type of content you can add includes:

  • Brief Case Studies
  • Links

Adding content is easy and users a built in 'What You See Is What You Get' (WYSIWYG) editing interface, which gives you options similar to those found in most word processing packages.  However, there are a few rules that need to be followed before you start!

  1. You can paste content into the text windows, but please only use plain text (not text copied direct from word processing packages like MSWord).  Text from programs like Word contain hidden coding which can cause problems with the how Your Development will display the text.  If you want to use existing text, the easiest option is to copy it into a plain text editing program like Notepad and then copy and paste from there.
  2. You can upload images you want to use from your computer to our server, but please keep all images to a maximum width of 550 pixels (ideally no wider than 300 pixels) and no bigger than around 70KB.  Any larger than this and the image will not display properly and it will be slow to load.  Most image editting software will be able to modify your images to these requirements.
